Day 7 – Adios Miquel

A lazy day today. Took some time to catch up on rest, and Connie had to wash her hair! Into Madrid for one last Tapas in Madrid and then went to visit the demonstration again in the centre of town. The protestors have turned it into a mini city; we can’t understand how they are getting way with it. Also had a quick walk around Miquel’s suburb, visited the local supermarket and so on.

Miquel met us at the station to catch our train to Barcelona at 8pm.

Miquel, we want to say a big thanks to you for making sure we had somewhere safe and quiet to lay our heads. Thanks for meeting us when we arrived and for seeing us off for our trip to Barcelona. In a short time we had a couple of wonderful meals with you and had some time to remember some of our past memories such as the time I came to visit your family 15 years ago and then a couple of years ago when we I saw you in Australia. All the best to you and Christina for a happy and wonderful life together, Gracias xxx

Currently on a train doing 305km/hr through some interesting scenery.

Next post from Barcelona.
